About PublicMoni

Promoting Transparency and Accountability in Public Projects

PublicMoni is a civic technology platform designed to track public projects and funds across Nigeria. We help citizens monitor government contracts and ensure transparency from planning to execution.

Our Mission

To empower citizens with access to accurate, timely, and actionable data about public projects, enabling them to hold institutions accountable and promote effective service delivery.

Our Vision

A Nigeria where every public project is transparently executed, monitored by the people, and contributes meaningfully to development.

What PublicMoni Offers

Nationwide Coverage

Track thousands of government projects across every state and region in Nigeria.

Citizen Engagement

Empower communities to follow up and report on the progress of local government projects.

Verified Data

Powered by Tracka, GovSpend, NOCOPO, and community submissions, we aggregate data from verified sources for accuracy and integrity.

Where our data comes from

Our Data Sources

PublicMoni aggregates data from multiple independent and official sources to give the most complete picture of each project.

BudgIT DataHub

Visit

The primary source for budget allocation data, project codes, MDA information, procurement records, contract awards, milestones, and financial transactions. Maintained by BudgIT.

Tracka

Visit

A civic monitoring platform that tracks the implementation of government projects across Nigeria. PublicMoni links each project to its Tracka page for community reports and field observations.

GovSpend

Visit

A government spending transparency tool that provides contractor payment records and beneficiary data, helping verify whether funds were actually disbursed to service providers.

NOCOPO / Open Contracting

Visit

Procurement data published in the Open Contracting Data Standard (OCDS) format, covering tender notices, contract awards, and supplier information.

Public Submissions (PUVM)

Learn more

Citizens, contractors, CSOs, and MDAs can submit field updates, photos, documents, and progress reports directly on each project page. Submissions are reviewed and verified by authorized officials.

Who Can Contribute & How

PublicMoni is sustained by contributions from citizens, civil society organisations, government agencies (MDAs), and contractors. Anyone can submit a field update, photo, document, or progress report on any project page. Submissions are reviewed by authorized officials and displayed with their verification status — making it easy to distinguish official updates from public observations.
